SURFERS RIDING ON THE CREST OF THE WAVE - PROPOSED £1 MILLION ARTIFICIAL REEF FOR NEWQUAY

Attracting world class surfers is the aim of the team behind Newquay's latest brainwave, an artificial reef in Newquay Bay. The reef would create wave patterns that surfers need to get the best out of their sport and would enhance Newquay's status as Europe's premier surfing capital.

John has been active in promoting the project for Newquay, which would compliment his schemes to regenerate Newquay town centre and to upgrade the facilities at Fistral beach.
