NEWQUAY TOWN CENTRE REGENERATION

As Leader of Restormel Borough Council, John has led the way in partnership with Newquay Town Council, Newquay Chamber of Commerce and Hotel and Caterers Association ( NATC ), under the chairmanship of Sue Jesson in championing regeneration in Newquay.

Here he is inspecting the work on the regeneration exhibition ( the Focus Group ) held on the Killacourt, Newquay, last summer, together with Gill Moore of Newquay Chamber of Commerce. This is a package of in-town improvements, won by a partnership of local government with business organisations and is worth £7 million to Newquay.

"This is just the sort of initiative being brought about by local Conservatives working as a team with the community, which we can deliver for the whole of North Cornwall."
