Preserving our unique Cornish landscape and environment, whilst encouraging the rural economy and creating new business opportunities in our communities is one of John's commitments. He believes in the future for organic farming in our area and how it can produce top quality Cornish produce with added value, that will sell at premium prices. Using sustainable systems, without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides, organic farming can create jobs for Cornish people, produce wholesome and healthy food and preserve our natural countryside and wildlife. John is calling on the Government to support the policy, which aims to have 30% of agricultural land in organic production or conversion by 2010.
