FLYING
HIGH : THE FUTURE'S LOOKING GOOD FOR NEWQUAY AIRPORT
As Leader of Restormel Borough Council, John has taken the lead, together
with his fellow Conservative Councillor from Newquay, Craig Bryant,
in driving forward the plans to upgrade the facilities at Cornwall's
principal civil airport. This involves inward investment of £1.5
million and will allow larger planes to land. Restormel B C and Cornwall
County Council are joint owners of the airport
This investment is crucial to Cornwall's businesses and to our Tourism
industry. We need the facilities to attract both business people and
visitors from home and overseas who wish to fly direct to Cornwall from
London, Europe or further afield.
