	John is a self employed business man and has traded in Newquay over the last twenty years. He is from a North Cornwall family and lives with his wife and four children in the old market town of St Columb Major.
As a member of the Countryside Alliance John is very aware of the erosion of our rural life here in North Cornwall. With family and friends in both the farming and fishing industries he has seen the sad decline of these vital industries and the struggles against European bureaucracy and red tape.
	Getting out and about in his constituency is what John enjoys. Meeting people and listening to there concerns and finding out what they expect from Central and Local Government.
